MILLIONAIRE EMBRACE |

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces.” For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, “Peace [be] within you.” Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek your good. Psalms 122:6–9 (NKJV)
Every country needs prayer. Regardless of political philosophy or governmental organization, every country needs its citizens, leaders, land, economy, scientists, health care workers, business people, and teachers to be bathed in prayer. Why? Every person and every square inch of a country’s land needs the grace, wisdom, and protection of God. From economic uncertainty to outbreaks of disease and racial unrest to contentious elections, we need the LORD to show us what to do.
Prayer changes things, and prayer changes places. If our prayers could not help in bringing peace and prosperity to our land, God would not have asked us to pray. He has called us to pray because we cannot underestimate the place of prayer in bringing about security and advancement for our nation. Am I saying all we need to do to enjoy security and progress in any nation of the world today is to just pray? Definitely not. We really should do more than pray, but prayer still has its place. If the all-knowing, all-wise God says prayers can bring peace and prosperity, then I believe it wholeheartedly. If you’re traveling and you pray for God to keep you on your journey, does that mean you can be reckless in your driving? No, of course. You should pray, and you should also accept other responsibilities to make what you want happen. Perhaps you’re thinking that if prayers truly can change things, then the situation in my country should be better off by now. If you think things have not really improved despite your prayers, it is certain they would have been far worse than they are now if not for the prayers.
Believers have been called to pray. It is an irretrievable calling for every Christian to pray for the nation where they live. Whether it is your country of origin or country of residence, or even both, it behoves you to pray for your nation. The LORD said in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that if we pray, He will bring healing to our land. The Psalmist said, “Because of the house of God, that is, the Church, I will seek the good of my nation by praying for her.” Notice God didn’t call the heathen or unbeliever to pray before He would act. No, He calls the believers. If we want God to act on behalf of our nation, we—God’s people, must humble ourselves and pray.
Our prayers can truly make a difference. The Bible says in James 5:16 that “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” When we seek the LORD in prayer on behalf of our nation, there is a guarantee of God-ordained results. We must also remain in faith when we pray for our nation, knowing that our prayers will surely change things for the better. Matthew 21:22 says, “You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.” All prayer is most effective when it is practiced in faith. Though it is easy to become discouraged, we must remember that nothing is too hard for the LORD. He can turn any situation around and draw anyone to Himself.
As believers, we’re called to be faithful, especially with regard to prayer. We can’t give up. Instead, we should continue to ask God to help our country. The Lord should arise and fight for the Church, the body of Christ, and enforce her establishment, and triumph over every conspiracy of hell arraigned against her. Therefore, if you have not been praying for your country, make a commitment to start doing so today. Things will only get better in Jesus Mighty Name.
PRAYERS
Father, I thank You because my prayers can bring positive changes to my nation. I decree the peace of God, which brings wholeness—nothing missing, nothing broken over my nation, and I decree that no leader will make any decision that will jeopardize the peace and prosperity of my nation in any way, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
KEEP IN MIND
If you think things have not really improved in spite of your prayers, they would certainly have been far worse than they are now if not for the prayers.
