And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Matthew 8:2-3 (NKJV)
Let me start by helping you comprehend what a siege is. To be under siege is to be surrounded on all sides; it is to be in a state of confinement with no hope of escape. It is to be encircled by the enemy to a point of complete stand still. In other words, it is a type of detention. However, there is a kingdom mystery that, when engaged, will secure the attention of God, and as a result get His intervention for the destruction of every detention. If you can master how to get God’s attention, you will escape every detention.
In our anchor text is the account of a leper who can be said to be in a permanent siege or detention of shame and reproach. He engaged this kingdom mystery and secured the attention of Jesus for his freedom from the satanic siege of leprosy. This leper despised his challenges, and refused to give in to murmuring and complaining, instead he came to Jesus and worshipped Him. Therefore, your worship is the key that secures God’s attention for your freedom from every siege. It is your worship that puts a permanent end to every siege. A grateful heart can never be in the enemy’s detention. This act of heartfelt worship moved the willingness of Jesus to cleanse this man from that shameful siege of leprosy.
Worship, praise and thanksgiving is heaven’s recommendation for your freedom from every detention. Have you ever wondered why there has never been a siege in heaven? This is so because non stop worship is the culture in heaven. The Bible says in Rev. 4:8 “…And they do not rest day or night, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!”. Worship is non stop in heaven and that is why there is non stop peace there. If heavenly worship is repeated on earth, heavenly experience will be your reality. No murmurer can experience this, rather they will move from one level of detention to another (1 Cor. 10:10). Like that leper, despise every reason to murmur and switch to heavenly worship. This is the key that will secure the attention of God any day, any time. When you get God’s attention, His intervention is certain.
ACTION STEP
Despise every legitimate reason to murmur or complain from today, switch to non stop heavenly worship and walk into non stop victory from every siege.
