We Are Commanded To Love One Another – Korede & Esther Komaiya

Saturday, Dec., 18th 2021

“Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples – when they see the love you have for each other.”
John 13:34-35MSG

God’s family is a love family and the kind of love that we celebrate is God’s love-Agape. This love is the exact nature of God and it originates from Him. The agape love is as powerful and potent as God is and far superior to every other kind of worldly love that is common among people today.

As love family, God’s commandment to us is that “you love one another; as I have loved you.” How did God love us? Did He love us because we deserved it? No. God loved us while we were yet sinners! (And think about this; if God Loved us with so great love while we were yet sinners and unholy, do you think He loves us any less now that we are His children? Not at all). Since love is the law of the family of God, one step out of love is a step into sin; if you have made such a step, repent and get back into walking in love. Husbands and wives need to let the love of God dominate them and not just natural human love because natural love is very shallow.

As believers, we have advantage over the people of the world; not only can we love our spouse with natural affection, we can add divine love to it and this love is not self-seeking but seeks the others’ welfare. To have a genuine fellowship with our Father, to enjoy a quality walk with God and live in the supernatural, we must walk in agape love, for God is love.

I love others as Christ loves me; I am under the law of love, I walk in love, therefore I have fellowship with my Father who is love. I walk in divine love towards those around me, I let this unselfish love of God pour through me to them, creating an atmosphere of love wherever I am, in Jesus’ Name.

Since love is the law of God’s family, one step out of love is a step into sin.
Good Morning
