(Psalm 11:3) If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?
A foundation is that upon which anything is founded. It is that which anything stands and by which it is supported. As a believer, your foundation is Christ (I Corinthians 3:10-11). It is expected of you to live by the principles of your foundation. When the principle of a foundation is forfeited deliberately in any way, the foundation is faulted. The BIBLE is a conveyor of the principles of Christ. This is abbreviated as: Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (BIBLE).
Jesus said, “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it” (Matthew 7:24-27). Our foundation is made faulty, as believers, when we do the following acts:
Secretly watching pornographic movies and committing sexual immorality,
Attending social and ungodly night gathering,
Keep unbelievers as best friends,
Brighten your mood with secular songs,
Begin and end your day with social media connections: even in church,
Fight in the neighbourhood,
Receive granny award for gossiping in your compound; and
Covet your neighbour’s wife or husband or fiancé/fiancée.
Beloved, all these and many more vices cause your foundation to be faulty. You ought to ensure that your foundation is firm through prayer, bible study, fellowship, communion, Godly Company and listening to gospel song and seeing scripturally lifting movies. Remember that light and darkness are not the best of pals.
Meditation: When the principle of a foundation is forfeited deliberately in any way, the foundation is faulted.

Prayer: Oh Lord, I must confess that I am guilty of most of the above listed faults. Lord I want to live out your principles. Give me grace to follow up to your principles in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
