THE POWER OF TESTIMONY – Apst. Joshua Talena

(Revelation 12:11) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the words of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to death.

Sharing testimony in the church has been a practice for centuries. A woman delivered of her baby is not rejoiced with until the placenta is out of her. Testimonies are more than mere words. They are weapons. God may have delivered you from the cold hands of death or from the torture of poverty, yet the kingdom of God still awaits your testimony to displace the enemy. Testimony is a powerful force that pulls the devil up and trashes him into a deserted location. Our testimony displace the enemy from our territory. It moves the devil and his followers out of your life.

Testimony is a powerful tool in sharing what God has done and is continuing to do in our lives. It is important for us to realize the value of our testimony. Not only do our testimonies represent us coming to Christ, but they can also continue to bring others to Him when we share them. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” (Romans 1:16).

When we displace the enemy through testimonies, our deliverance, healing and breakthrough are permanent. Giving testimonies makes Heaven and Earth to keep a sealed record of your deliverance, healing and breakthrough because it was an agreement between Heaven and Earth that made your deliverance possible (Matthew 18:18).

Our testimony does a lot more than just displacing the devil:
It ridicules and confuses the devil. This is because your deliverance, healing and breakthrough came as a shock to him (John 9:1-41).
It guarantees permanent healing, deliverance and breakthrough. (Luke 17:11-19).
It wins souls to kingdom of God (John 4:29-30)

The power of testimony is real! The courage it takes to share your whole truth with your whole heart builds resilience and fosters connection with others. We need connection in order to recover and build healthy supportive relationships. These relationships help us stay sober. Letting go of the shame of our past helps propel us into a life filled with meaning and connection. Feelings of Isolation and loneliness disappear. We begin to love ourselves. This discovery helps us to forgive ourselves and others. All of a sudden, we can see how God is working in our lives and we find purpose in our pain. Our deliverance, healing and breakthroughs takes a lasting effect, when we testify. Stop withholding your testimonies.
