#TodaysWord: Obedience, a key to possessing [19:10:2021]

Bible Text:

Numbers 14:8

If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’

Today’s Word –

The promises of God are sure and asccessible, if we hearken to the voice of God in obedience. The voice of God is a guide that unveils the road map to our desired future, hence if we must live in the purpose of God, obedience to Him is a necessity.

God wants us to possess the abundance of all He has to offer through His word, but it is our responsibility to take hold of these promises through obedience.

What are the implications of obedience?

1. It is a proof of our worship to God (Jeremiah 7:23, 1 John 3:24).

2. It is a proof of our trust in God (1 John 5:3, John 8:51).

3. It is a proof of our living in the will and purpose of God ( 2 Cor. 10:5, Ecclesiastes 12:13).

4. It is a proof of our love for God ( John 14:23, 1 John 5:3)

What are the effects of obedience?

1. When we obey God’s word, it is a licence for God to fulfill His promises (Isaiah 1:19, 1 John 3:22).

2. God delights in those who obey His word (Exodus 19:5, John 15:14).

Action Steps:

1. Get a Bible today, and if you have one already, be committed to studying, inorder to hear God daily.

2. Make up your mind today to obey God’s word.

” I made haste, and did not delay to keep Your commandments”.

– Psalms 119:60

God bless you and do have a wonderful day.
