(Proverbs 4:23) Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life
The human heart controls the entirety of the body. The thought life controls the rest of a man’s life. The quality of information you allow into you affects your thinking and your thinking affects your life. Just as fertilizer enriches the soil and good food enriches the body, quality and relevant information enriches the heart which in turns controls your entire personality. You need to feed your heart with relevant information that will empower you for creativity and greater achievement in life.
To guard your heart and thought with good information, you need to ask question. A Chinese proverb says “The man who asks questions is a fool for five minutes but is wise forever, but the man that refuses to ask question is wise for five minutes but forever remains a fool.” Nothing on earth nourishes the heart like relevant information. To become an authority in your field of endeavour, you must give quality time to study, learning and reading, attend seminars, workshops and training for skill acquisition. You must also listen to messages on DVDs and other means that will enrich your heart and help you become an authority in your chosen field.
Child of God, if you tell me what you think, I will tell you who you are and the life you live. The Bible says “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). Thoughts lead to attitude, attitudes lead to actions, and actions lead to achievement. A man’s achievements is the sum total of his thought. Knowledge is a bridge that connects the future to the present! You need to give yourself to reading, make sure you read at least one book in a month, listen to inspirational messages daily, read the Bible daily, locate outstanding mentors so you can read their books and find out their habits. The richer your mind, the richer your thoughts and the richer your thoughts the richer you results, therefore guard your heart!
Beloved, do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2). Be careful what comes into your heart. Store up the Word of God in your heart and live by it (Joshua 1:8).
Meditation: The quality of information you allow into your mind affects your thinking and your thinking affects your life.
