Lately, I’ve been led to address HYPOCRISY IN MINISTRY. These days, hypocrisy abound aplenty in ministry.

  • A hypocrite is a person who says one thing but means another altogether.
  • A hypocrite is a person who says one thing but does another altogether.
  • A hypocrite is a person that has a form of godliness but denies the power thereof.
  • A hypocrite is an angel of darkness that masquerades as an angel of light.
  • A hypocrite is a fake, fraud, charlatan or snake oil salesman who by his actions or inactions, on face value, appears to be genuine.

  1. If you condemn and vilify a fellow pastor behind him but shower eulogies, encomiums and praises on him in public, you are a hypocrite.
  2. If you tag someone occultic or fake but you invite or host him, especially to raise money for you and your ministry, you are a hypocrite.
  3. If you refuse your wife from using make-up or makeover, jewellery and nice apparels but secretly admire other ladies that use them, you are a hypocrite.
  4. If you condemn fellow preachers that sell oil, water, salt, handkerchief, etc but institute it as a policy that people must sow prophet’s seed before they have access to you, you are a hypocrite.
  5. If you preach giving, but you host a preacher or singer in your program and don’t give the person honorarium or love offering, you are a hypocrite.
  6. If you preach giving but you host a preacher and he raised a large sum of money for your ministry but you gave him peanuts as honorarium or love offering, you are a hypocrite.
  7. If you condemn fund raising but you take multiple offerings in a service(tithe, offering, seed faith offering, welfare offering, missions offering, prophet’s offering, etc), you are a hypocrite.
  8. If you tag a preacher a false prophet or occultic, but you run to him for financial assistance in time of need, you are a hypocrite.
  9. If you preach love and compassion and for instance, you have 5, 7 or 10 cars but your assistant, associate or resident Pastor has no car, you are a hypocrite.
  10. If you empathize or sympathize with a fellow pastor in public but rejoice in secret over his predicament, you are a hypocrite.

Conclusively, let us rid ourselves of hypocrisy. Jesus Christ cursed hypocrites. The life of a hypocrite is a life of woes.
