The eye of the adulterer waits for the twilight,Saying, ‘No eye will see me’; And he disguises his face.
Today’s Word –
Job gives a clear description of the life of a sinner using an adulterer as an example who waits for the twilight inorder to commit iniquity. Jesus Christ also buttresses this point in the book of John 3:20 stating thus;
For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
The character of the sinner is to conceal his/her deeds from the light, but the bible states that anyone who conceals his sin will not prosper, but he who confesses and renounces them shall obtain mercy (Proverbs 28:13).
Is there a sin in your life that you are concealing? Is it masturbation, stealing, adultery, fornication, unforgiveness etc.
Jesus christ is saying to you today, that you do not need to be ashamed or conceal your sins, but He requires you to come forth and confess them before Him. He is faithful and just to forgive you of your sins, and cleanse you from every act of unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
What is your responsibility?
1. Identify every act of sin in your life (1 John 1:9).
2. Take a bold step, and come to the light (John 14:6).
3. Confess and renounce your sins before God (Proverbs 28:13).
4. Stay in the light (John 15:4).
