EXPECT A MIRACLE! – Pst. Tunde Korede

A miracle is a by-product of believers’ faithfulness to the teaching of God’s Word. In other words, God confirms and lends credence to His Word through signs and wonders.

Mark 16:20 (NIV) says, “Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and CONFIRMED HIS WORD BY THE SIGNS that accompanied it.”

Now, it is true that the early Church earnestly prayed for the release of Peter but they weren’t expecting any miracle to happen. They didn’t know Peter could escape miraculously. Their unhealthy attitude was known through the response they gave to Rhoda when she said she had seen Peter at the door (Acts 12:13-15).

Today, there are still believers who think the era of performance of miracles has gone. Hence, they believe teleportation, healing of the sick, raising the dead etc, cannot take place again. This is not true!

In fact, they tend to see those whom God is using to perform these miracles as fakes. The truth is that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. In other words, if he did it yesterday, He can do it better today.

Therefore, expect God to perform major miracles in your body, business, ministry and in your life.

Do not downplay the essence of signs and wonders. Besides, miracles strenghten people’s faith in Him. And God uses them to draw people’s (believers and unbelievers) attention towards Him.

As God’s servant, be consistent in teaching the Word! And encourage God’s people to expect miracles. Miracles are not strange happenings to us in the Church! It’s just God’s way of confirming His presence. Don’t be too carnal as a minister.

Shun every form of gimmick! His servants are not performers, but they are regarded as ministers. You don’t need to fake it, if major signs and wonders have not happened in your ministry. Be real!

Honestly, you don’t need to stage miracles. Don’t go and put a normal person on a wheelchair. Stop hiring people who can pretend as people with blindness or deafness. You don’t need it at all.

A 40-year-old woman can still get married!

The dead can still be raised!

Every sickness can be healed!

A 60-year-old woman can still give birth to children!

The crippled can still walk!

The poor can still become rich!
The deaf can still hear!

A man can teleport to another country or city miraculously!

Therefore, I decree, may the Lord locate you with miracles that will change your life for good.

Amen!
