Today’s Word (8/04/2021): KEEP THE WORD

BIBLE VERSE:

Proverbs 10:17

He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray.

COUNSEL:

There are many in the world today, who live their lives with reckless abandon, because they are of the view that their lives belong to them, hence they can live it anyway or anyhow they like. This assertion is not true.

Every product is created by its developer to operate in certain conditions, which guarantees the reliability and usefulness of its purpose. Man is a product or the workmanship of God (Ephesians 2:10), and we are created by Him to operate in certain conditions. These conditions guarantee our usefulness and the realization of our purpose on earth. Like every product which has an operational manual, the word of God is the operational manual for the proper functioning of our lives.

2 Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness

We must depend on it daily for instructions, and also for corrections in areas of our lives that are defaulting in standards.

OUR DUTY:

1. We must resist every form of self in us, and yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

2. We must study the Holy Scriptures daily, because it is our operational manual.

3. The Holy Scriptures is the only standard recognised by God for daily living, hence we must debunk and resist any other standard that contradicts its values.

God bless you, and do have a lovely day.
