(Genesis 26:6-7) And Isaac dwelt in Gerar: And the men of the place asked him of his wife; and he said, she is my sister; for he feared to say, she is my wife, lest, said he, the men of the place should kill me for Rebekah, because she was fair to look upon.
Iniquity is deliberate sin. Iniquity is a destroyer of prosperity. Nothing truncates or terminates success, achievement and prosperity like iniquity. Isaac was in the land of Gerar for a long time despite the fact that he was carrying a prophecy. When he entered the city, he told his wife that she was too beautiful; therefore, she should tell the people that she was his sister. Consequently, his prosperity was withheld. He sowed in the land but got nothing. But when Isaac’s sin was exposed, the Bible said, then Isaac sowed in that land and began to prosper.
Ephraim means fruitfulness. The Bible says “Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the wind of the Lord shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels” (read Hosea 13). When iniquity was found in him, his fruitfulness was limited. The gloriousness of Ephraim’s destiny was paralysed and he became a pitiable sight. Samson’s life and ministry came to a standstill because of iniquity. He deliberately went against God’s instruction and command.
Beloved, you cannot be building your life and destiny on deception and expect God to bless you. Even though you are carrying prophecy, its manifestation can be suspended as a result of iniquity. No matter the anointing you are carrying, anointing can be truncated by iniquity. The fact that you are still prospering in the midst of iniquity does not mean God is with you. When you will come crashing, no amount of prayer, seed sowing, first fruit or sacrifice will work for you. Child of God, desist from deliberate iniquity; iniquity destroys prosperity.
Meditation: Do not be involved in iniquity, for it is the fastest destroyer of prosperity.
RM: Commanding Productivity
Prayer: My Father, my Lord, I desist from any sinful act that is capable of destroying my prosperity in Jesus name, Amen. I am fruitful.
