DEVELOPING GOOD CHARACTER – Apostle Joshua Talena

(Proverbs 14:27) The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death

Developing good or bad character is a product of choice. You can decide to develop good or bad character. But I want you to know good character is the capacity to keep God’s blessing. A believer’s character is the capacity that carries the anointing. It is the container that carries your prophecy fulfillment and accomplishment. What makes the prophecy glorious, forceful and operational is the quality of life of the carrier. The anointing is ineffective when there is no capacity to keep it.

Reuben lost out on the blessings of God because of his bad character of immortality (read 1 Chronicles 5:1). Rueben’s qualification was not in doubt, but the order was changed and the blessing was reversed such that Reuben was established in sorrow and backwardness because of his bad character. On the other hand, Daniel chose not to compromise (Daniel 1:8). His choice of good character kept him for years in the corridors of power in a strange land.

Character is the greatest prediction of a man’s future. Beloved, you can choose to develop good or bad character, the choice is yours. You can choose to mess up your body or you can choose to remain pure. I have seen women who misuse their bodies in order to drive good cars and live in quality places, but after some years, they come crying.

Child of God, I want you to know that good character is the vehicle that carries your tomorrow. People of good character go with God all the way even when it is not convenient. Good character means pleasing God more than man, choosing to respect and reverence God more than man. I pray that you make up your mind to exhibit good character in Jesus name, Amen.

Meditation: Character is the greatest prediction of your future.
