MODULE 7: GOD’S REWARD SYSTEM – Evangelist Ikponmwosa Ogogor

THE SEED OF OUR WORDS

In the last module of this teaching series we looked at the seed of our hearts.

In this module we shall be looking at the seed of our words.

There is a strong correlation between our thoughts and our words.

We usually speak out what we have believed and what we believe is formed from our thinking pattern.

Words are powerful!

They can kill or give life!

What we suffer or enjoy today has strong correlation to how we have been talking.

Proverbs 18

18:4 The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.

18:6 A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.

18:7 A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.

18:8 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

18:21DEATH AND LIFE ARE IN THE POWER OF THE TONGUE: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Man is made in the image and likeness of God.

This means man has the ability to function like God.

We are told that God calls things that are not in existence as though they are there.

Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and CALLETH THOSE THINGS WHICH BE NOT AS THOUGH THEY WERE.

At creation God finished creating the things He wanted by speaking them into existence before He saw them.

A closer look at the record shows that those things God spoke did not immediately manifest physically.

God saw them first in His mind spiritually that they were good before they would later manifest physically.

Lets look at some selected verses of this record

Genesis 1

1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Genesis 2

2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

2:4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens.

2:5 And every plant of the field BEFORE IT WAS IN THE EARTH, AND EVERY HERB OF THE FIELD BEFORE IT GREW: FOR THE LORD GOD HAD NOT CAUSED IT TO RAIN UPON THE EARTH, and there was not a man to till the ground.

2:6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground

2:9 And OUT OF THE GROUND MADE THE LORD GOD TO GROW EVERY TREE that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

God created everything by speaking them and saw them first spiritually and affirmed that they were all good.

Afterwards He set in motion the natural process of watering the earth to make what He spoke and saw in the spirit a reality physically.

We are like God and are designed to function like Him.

We have what we believe in our hearts and say with our mouths.

This is a law of seedtime and harvest God has put in place!

Mark 11:23
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

If what we believe in our hearts is negative and we say it with our mouths we shall receive the harvest of negative experiences.

For example if I keep speaking out my feelings of fear concerning my health, I will end up being sick.

The same applies to every are of life.

James chapter 3 speaks volumes on the tongue.

Our maturity is determined by how we speak!

Our tongue controls our life. It can set us on fire!

It can defile us!

We have what we say!

We create our physical reality by our words.

This is why we are told not to say we are weak if we feel weak instead we should say we are strong.

Joel 3:10 Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: LET THE WEAK SAY, I AM STRONG.

We are not telling lies for obeying God’s word and saying we are strong if we feel weak.

We are simply sowing the right seeds to reap the right harvest of strength in due season.

Never join others to speak negative words over your life, family, country or Church.

Maintain the right words always.

We are admonished to think rightly so we can believe and speak rightly.

Its difficult to speak right if we don’t learn to think right.

Its difficult to also think right if we feed ourselves with wrong things.

We are told to focus on what is right.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

You have a part to play in accessing your destiny.

Learning to speak right is a major seed you must sow consistently to make it happen.

You are like God your father so begin to speak and see first with your spiritual eyes those things you want to experience physically.

To be continued…

Shalom Greetings
