In the last module we already listed three physical laws that guide the growth and productivity of natural seeds of plants as put in place by God.
These laws directly reflect God’s reward system described in seedtime and harvest.
We are continuing the list in this module.
4. Every seed has its own sowing season.
If you fail to sow during the season, sowing afterwards may just be a waste of the seed.
There are certain seeds that can survive and still do well over a large range of sowing seasons but some others must be strictly planted in their specific sowing season else they will either fail to grow or fail to produce as expected.
5. Every seed has it’s own time to grow, mature and produce its fruits with seeds in it.
As long as the earth remains seedtime and harvest shall never cease (Genesis 8:22).
Some take a few days while others take weeks, months and years.
All seeds do not grow the same time.
All seeds do not take the same time duration to mature.
We can’t question God why this is so but we have simply accepted and adapted to this law of nature.
We ought to do same with spiritual seeds.
Many times we like to set personal time to receive a harvest on a seed we have sowed.
This act is alien to this law of seedtime and harvest.
Only God determines harvest time.
We can only recognize and determine seedtime.
We shall talk more on this later in this teaching series.
6. A harvest from a seed sowed must be received at full maturity else we won’t get the real value of it.
We must be patient and willing to wait for the maturity period before putting in our sickle to harvest the fruits.
Unfortunately many people are unwilling to wait yet they want to obtain high quality harvest.
It doesn’t work that way.
7. There are conditions and circumstances that must be in place and sustained for a sufficient period of time after a seed is sown for the seed to grow to maturity and produce fruits.
A seed that was sowed doesn’t necessarily grow to maturity and produce fruits except the prevailing conditions favour its growth and productivity.
There must be the right soil, the right amount of water, air, sunlight, nutrients, etc.
The quality of these prevailing circumstances and situations largely influences the harvest received.
So while waiting for maturity period to be completed, we must ensure the right environment and circumstances are created so the harvest can be maximized.
8. There are seeds we are required to set aside for another sowing season in every harvest we received.
Failure to recognize this leads to eating of the entire harvest hence there will be no seed to sow in order to guarantee continuity of reaping future harvest.
There is an amount you are to withhold for yourself to eat but you must not withhold more than is necessary.
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
The rest you don’t withhold is your seed for your future harvest.
