21 THINGS YOU MUST DO IN 2021 – Awe Hilary

The year, 2021, brings good tidings to all who have been privileged by God to see and experience it. Moreover, it is important to note that, the plans of God towards every individual in the new year, is of Good, and not evil, to give us a future and hope.

In retrospect, the year 2020, was indeed a traumatic year for many, owing to the fact of the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic, which was seen to have wrought havoc amongst many countries of the world. These events have become a major strategy by the devil to downplay the love of God for humanity. The year, 2020, is a year I would describe as the year of God’s mercy and grace, hence the greatest undoing of any individual, would be to crossover to the new year, with a beat down mentality.

However, the year, 2021 comes with endless possibilities, but inorder to maximize it’s full potentials, the following actions are keys to a successful year.

1. Crossover into the year, 2021, with a lion mentality.

Have a winner mindset, because your state of mind is key to your success (Phillipians 4:8, Proverbs 4:23, James 1:8).

2. Speak life into the year with your tongues.

Create the possibilities you want to experience, because there is power in your tongue (1 Peter 3:10, Numbers 14:28, Proverbs 18:21).

3. Seek God with all you have.

There will be a bandwagon of individuals that would downplay the essence and profitability of serving God. I say again, seek God with all you have, do not hold back, do not hold on to popular opinions, but the word of God ( Mathew 6:33, Hebrews 11:6, Psalm 34:10).

4. Be consistent in prayers, to seek the mind of God concerning yourself, your environment, and your country of residence ( Psalm 119:10, Amos 5:4, Zephaniah 2:3).

5. Have a realistic plan, set goals, map out the best strategies to achieve your goals, but most importantly, present your plan to God for validation. There are many who learnt this, through the hard way, in the year, 2020 (Job 5:8-9, Psalm 34:4, Psalm 119:45).

6. Build quality and Godly relationships (Networks) which aligns with your goals and aspirations.

The year 2021, is not a year of hanging out with those who have no direction. Your alignment should be determined by your purpose (Amos 3:3, Proverbs 18:24, Proverbs 13:20).

7. Equip yourself with knowledge that aligns with your purpose.

Read books, listen to tapes, videos, and attend seminars that are tailored to increase your capacity in achieving your goals. The year, 2021, is a year for knowledgable people, hence don’t just seatback wasting your time on junks (Proverbs 18:15, Proverbs 15:14, Proverbs 1:5).

8. Be disciplined.

Your focus should be centred on achieving your goals in good time, hence there should be no room for distractions. However, being disciplined entails pruning, which involves a departure from all things that have no bearing with your goals, and aspirations. These may include friends, and all related activities that impede your plans, strategies, and makes you farther from achieving your goals (Hebrews 12:11, Proverbs 25:28, Proverbs 20:13).

9. Manage your time very well, because it is a valuable asset that guarantees your success or failure.

Dr Myles Monroe once said, success and failure, are both predictable (Psalm 90:12, Proverbs 6:10-11, Collosians 4:5).

10. Walk in love, and follow peace with all men (Hebrews 12:14, 1 Corinthians 16:14, Romans 12:9).

11. Guard your hearts.

This is the real battle ground, hence, say no to negative and demeaning thoughts, suicidal thoughts, and every thought that seems to give you a wrong identity, for a man/woman is defined by his/her thoughts (Phillipians 4:8, Proverbs 4:23, Proverbs 23:7).

12. Financial prudence.

The times are changing, I must say this, however, the year, 2021, should be a year of gathering. This is to say that, you save more than you spend. Everyone reading this post should create a budget, and live by it. This is very important, so that when the day of scarcity comes, you will have something to fall back on financially. There will always be needs, but you dont have to expend all your income to satisfy them at once. Save, save and save (Proverbs 21:20, Proverbs 13:16, Luke 12:15).

13. Avoid the life of competition.

Everyone is created for a purpose, hence we are not all on thesame lane, neither do we have thesame assignments. Competition leads people away from their destinies, hence they take up the identity of others, which leads to confusion, failure, and frustration ( Collosians 3:23-24, 2 Corinthians 10:12, Proverbs 25:28).

14. Avoid borrowing.

In the year, 2021, resist the temptation of borrowing, by practicing a life of contentment, and living according to your means and capacity (Proverbs 22:7, Hebrews 13:5, Deuteronomy28:44).

15. Run from quick rich schemes, and its promoters, especially from pastors.

Wealth is achieved through a gradual, systematic and steady process, which is built over time. In the year, 2021, you must desist from quick rich schemes, its promoters, especially pastors. Like the proverbial saying which instructs us to be watchful of those who are wolves, but parade themselves as sheeps, we must flee from unverified Investment opportunities that have found their way into our churches. However, every investment opportunity that is not registered by your country of residence (CAC for Nigeria), insured by the government (NDIC for Nigeria), or any reputable insurance company, which is duely registered in your country, you must flee from it, because you are inches away from being duped (Proverbs 13:11, 1 Timothy 6:10, Proverbs 28:19).

16. Start a business.

Seek for the guidance of God to assist you in the type of business that will align with your purpose (your calling). Moreover, it is dangerous to go into every business, because others are involved in it, hence it is important to seek for God’s guidance (Deuteronomy 8:18, Philippians 4:13, Jeremiah 29:11).

17. Invest in your family.

Invest in your family, husbands love your wives, as Christ loved the church, and gave up Himself for her. Wives in same manner, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord. Love is dynamic, be creative in your approach this year, do new things for your spouse and children (Ephesians 5:25, Collosians 3:19, Ephesians 6:4).

18. Live a life of Thanksgiving.

The praises of God must never depart from your mouth, hence in the year, 2021, our lives must show forth His praise. Never allow any circumstance or condition to steal your joy and thanksgiving to God (Psalm 107:1, Ephesians 5:20, Hebrews 13:15).

19. Take a decision to live a life of impact.

God created man in His own Image an Likeness, hence every every man has something to offer to the world. In this year, 2021, take a decision to create impact, by discovering and developing your giftings and talents, with the aim of offering your services to the world (1 Peter 4:10, Romans 12:6, Exodus 35:10)

20. Build your spiritual life, and pray for the Nations of the world.

As we get closer to the end of the age, wickedness will abound, and there will be oppositions from the kingdom of darkness, hence every believer must build up themselves spiritually to access their divine provisions, and withstand the wiles of satan. Also, all the Nations of the world require our prayers, and intercession (Ephesians 6:11, Ephesians 4:27, Ephesians 6:12, Luke 10:19).

21. Refuse every temptation to gang up against the Church.

There is a huge conspiracy against the church in the year, 2021, hence we must resist every attempt to give support to any system that wages war against the body of Christ. The body of Christ must remain United in speech and in deeds, hence “social media” Christians who jump at every opportunity to criticize the church, must desist from these acts, because they give credence to the acts of the devil (Romans 14:4, James 1:19-20, Ephesians 4:29).

God bless you, and give you the grace to implement all that you have set out your hearts to achieve this year.

The entire team and members of The Messenger Blog, wishes you a happy New Year in God’s presence.

Happy New Year
