Today’s Word {IS THERE NO GOD?} – 12/12/2020

2 Kings 1:3

But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, “Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say to them, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron?’

I would like to reiterate the word of the Lord, by asking you again, Is there no God, that you seek help from demons, witchcraft doctors, and people with familiar spirits? Has God seized to exist?

The power of God never diminishes, and its readily available and accessible to only those who believe and place their trust in Him (Psalm 9:10, Joshua 1:9, Psalm 37:5, Isaiah 41:10).

When we place our trust in God, we cause Him to act, because our faith in God is a pleasing aroma before Him, hence it is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6).

1. It is a denial of the existence of God (2 Kings 1:3, Psalm 9:10, Psalm 20:7).

2. It is a state of faithlesnes, and a pursuit of “self understanding ” ( Proverbs 3:5-6, Hebrews 11:6, psalm 20:7).

3. It is the condition of a heart that places man above God ( Psalm 118:8, Psalm 40:4, Psalm 146:3, Jeremiah17:15).

4. It is a clear evidence of the denial of God’s word ( Joshua 1:9, John 14:15, Isaiah 26:4).

5. An evidence of impatience ( Mathew 6:25, Isaiah 40:31, Genesis 28:15, Isaiah 43:2-3).

6. A state of imbalance {One leg in, one leg out} (Psalm 46:10, Psalm 37:5, James 1:6).

7. A state of denying the power of God, and dwelling in the realm of fear ( Joshua 1:9, Psalm 112:7, Mark 5:36, John 14:1, Proverbs 29:25, Psalm 56:3).

1. You hinder the hand of God to help you (Psalm 37:4-6, Psalm 37:5, Isaiah 41:10, Psalm 62:8, Psalm 28:7).

2. It leads to a departure from the presence of God ( Psalm 91:1-16, Nahum 1:7, 1 John 4:16).

3. It hinders the provisions of God for your life ( Romans 8:28, Jeremiah 17:7-8, Isaiah 41:10).

4. It places you in a position, where you are at the mercy of men ( Proverbs 29:25, Psalm 118:8, Hebrews 13:6).

5. Your actions become alien to God’s purpose and agenda ( Romans 8:28, Phillipians 4:6-7, Psalm 143:8).

1. It’s an act of obedience to God’s words ( Psalm 46:10, Joshua 1:9, Deuteronomy 28:1-68).

2. It is an evidence of our faith and confidence in the salvation power of God ( Psalm 9:10, Joshua 1:9, Jeremiah 17:7-8, Isaiah 41:10).

3. It moves the hands of God, and causes Him to act ( Psalm 37:4-6, Psalm 9:10, Proverbs 3:6, Psalm 38:7, Psalm 37:5).

4. It positions us for the provisions of God ( Romans 8:28, Jeremiah 29:11, Jeremiah 17:7-8, Isaiah 41:10).

5. It’s an evidence of our stability in God (Jeremiah 17:7-8, Psalm 62:8, James 1:6).

6. We are assured of victory ( Psalm 37:4-6, Romans 8:28, Psalm 9:10).

God is always there for us, He never sleeps nor slumber, and He is always committed to ensure that He addresses whatever concerns may be the prevalent conditions in our lives.

However, we have a responsibility to always seek Him for our needs and provisions through faith, and surely He will answer us.

God bless you
