BE COMMITTED IN THE CHURCH – Rev Joshua Talena

(1 Corinthians 12:12) As the body is one, and hath many members and all the members of that one body, being many are one body, so also is Christ

It is not enough to know what the spiritual gifts are and how they operate. You should be actively involved in fulfilling the place of ministry to which God has called you. Each believer should be willing to fit into the Church and minister through the power of the Holy Spirit. Be committed in the work of the Lord. This year, make up your mind not to sit in the background and just be a spectator. Christianity is more than just attend services each week. You must keep an open attitude of anticipation, remaining alert to any ministry opportunities God makes available to you.

In 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Paul emphasized the importance of diversity and the interdependence of the body. Indeed, for the body to function properly there must be diversity in the function of organs. In the Church, God uses diversity in personality, background and spiritual gifts to accomplish His will. God has placed in the Church, a group of unique people in the way that is best for the entire church and for its individual members. Every member should contribute his or her uniqueness for the healthy functioning of the Body of Church.

I want to ask you, what are you contributing to the advancement of the Church? God has deposited so much in you. Do not rob your generation of the impact you have the capacity to make by your service. There are certain aspects of you and the manner in which you will serve that no other person can function. Let the Church feel you. Be committed.

Meditation: God has deposited so much in you. Do not rob your generation of the impact you have the capacity to make by your service. Christianity is more than just attend services each week.
