FLOURISHING IS A POSSIBLITY – Rev Joshua Talena

(Psalm 92:12 -13) The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

To flourish means to grow well; to be healthy; to be successful, to be noticed and to develop quickly. It means to succeed against all odds. This is the beauty and the efficacy of Christianity. Every other man-made religious practice is embellished in fear, guilt, condemnation and limitation. But Christianity is a relationship between humanity and divinity which results in the flow of possibilities upon the believer. Every good and perfect gift is from the Father of light in whom there is no variableness nor shadow of turning. So flourishing is one of the blessings Christianity offers us. It does not matter what the devil say. It does not matter what your enemies say. It does not matter who wishes you well or wishes you evil. It does not matter the complexities and aberration of life. It does not even matter your failures of yesterday, mistakes of the past and challenge of the presence. Child of God, what matters is that you are a child of God the covenant. God’s seed in you, the covenant blood of Christ speaks for you, and you have the privileges of the kingdom.

That is why the psalmist says that the righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. A close look at the palm tree shows that it is major cash trees which survives and bear fruit in its season, the same with the cedar of Lebanon. This goes to affirm the fact that the child of God has a covenant right of flourishing. Prosperity is your portion, health is your right and dominion is your placement in God.

As you flourish and expand, don’t forget to be a distributor of kingdom love, kingdom character, kingdom glories and kingdom wealth. Let society feel the impact of your presence by your unalloyed loyalty and contribution to kingdom projects. As you do, you would have fulfilled divine ideology and perspective of wealth.God said to Abraham in Genesis 12:2 “And I will make thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing”.I prophesy upon you by divine audacity, flourishing will be your portion in Jesus name, Amen.

Meditation:As you flourish and expand, don’t forget to be a distributor of kingdom love, kingdom character, kingdom glories and kingdom wealth. Shalom!
