BEWARE OF YOUR AGE AND STATUS – Pastor Timothy Benedict

Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
Matthew 3:13-15.

About 2009, while working as the head of media and publicity at the Dunamis headquarters, a young pastor who came into the system with the batch of 2008 was called and sent as a resident pastor in one of the then choice branches while his mates were still assistant pastors. The day he came to collect his posting letter, I met him at the corridor and excitedly congratulated him for speed and favour. I told him to hold on for me. I ran to my office and packaged five thousand Naira in an envelope to give him. The guy refused to collect the money on the ground that he was my junior in the system so there’s no basis sowing into his life, that it was meant to be the other way round.

I told him “suffer it to be so now. I am recognizing and sowing into what works for you. You are not the best amongst your peers but I appreciate this speed and favour”. He reluctantly collected the envelope and I insisted he must speak a word.

Hear this!
It’s not about the person, it’s about the principle and its understanding.

We are not at the same level today by God’s mercy and privilege because I have continued with this principle severally and repeatedly as a life principle.

Many are more in captivity of their own age and status rather than witches, wizards and the devil combined.

The person holding the door to your next mega shift maybe someone you use to know as a nobody. He or she maybe your former employee or domestic staff. They maybe your former junior in school or in your organization. They maybe a relation you used to know as very disadvantaged. Many are busy carrying their age and status up and down while opportunities and secrets are busy passing them by forgetting that age is only valid in the village not in life pursuits.

Drop that shoulder now and go in search of what you need to bail you out. If Jesus could ignore the fact that He and John the Baptist were second cousins as well as the fact that He was God in the flesh to recognize and celebrate pay homage to the then happening prophet, who are you?

The law of recognition is an incontrovertible principle of success to which nature and creation respond actively to.

Fasten your seatbelt all through the month of August as I will be teaching about SUCCESS ATTITUDES in the school of success. Starting this Sunday!
Let everyone you know know about this!
