Today’s Word – 26/07/2020

Exodus 20:7

“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

The name of the Lord is Holy, and should be revered. It is a name that is higher above any other name, and should not be addressed carelessly. It is a name associated with our salvation, sanctification, and a mark of our identification with the living God.

The name of our Lord is meant for our application in prayers, declarations, preaching the word of God to the world, and every other activity that is Holy.

We must refrain from using His name for vain discussions or associating it with filthy conversations, like we see today in movies, and other worldly activities.

It is a sin to use the name of the Lord in vain, and for everyone who engages in such practices, will be held accountable for his or her actions.

.…Those who value the name of the Lord are valued in God.

God bless you.
