I speak with him face to face, even plainly, and not in dark sayings; and he sees the form of the LORD, why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? ~ Numbers 12:8

Ministers and other church workers should try to appreciate their roles, and function in that capacity faithfully without comparing themselves with their leaders or try to outdo them.
Aaron and Miriam were appointed to work with Moses. They were to help Moses in fulfilling his ministry to carry out God’s mandate. The question is, where they seeing it that way? NO! Envy and jealousy set in! All this respect, is it for Moses alone? The offerings, the tithes and gifts! What about us? Now Aaron and Miriam said, has the LORD indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?

You dare compare yourself with d LORD’s anointed?

It must be noted that the need for workers always comes in after God has given the vision or assignment. God called Moses before Aaron, Elijah before Elisha, Jesus before the Apostles. Now, rebellion is something that God does not take lightly and when it comes, He treats it urgently. Do u know why? It is because a house divided against itself cannot stand. The work of God must go on and no gate of hell can prevail against it!

When Aaron tried to operate beyond his role of a worker/supporter by trying to compare himself with Moses, he got into serious trouble with God. Miriam was struck with leprosy! Oh yes, it can even result in death or other terrible consequences.

Church workers, be careful! Any form of rebellion against the one called is rebellion against God and it would not be taken lightly. Do not incur the wrath of God by touching His anointed. So what if Moses married a strange woman? So what if that man of God has sinned? Leave his punishment for God!

When they go wrong pray for them, If u are very close to them, prayerfully and gently tell them. Do not judge them, do not say evil against them with your mouth. Do not disrespect them, do not insult them. Love, respect and pray for them. Your diligence in your own assignment goes a long way in helping them fulfill their ministry, and as you do so, God is preparing you for a bigger assignment.

Luke 16:12, says “And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?

If you don’t serve, you cannot be served. Be wise, be humble and be faithful. God bless you.

May the good Lord gives us a humble spirit to serve faithfully, and cast away from us, every spirit of rebellion occasioned by pride and self centeredness, in Jesus name, amen.
