The disciples of Jesus Christ came to Him privately, trying to inquire the signs that would characterize His second coming, and the end of age (Mathew 24:3).

Jesus Christ answered His disciples by giving them a description of events that will preceed His coming, inorder to forewarn believers and people of the world to make their ways right with God.

This revelation was made by Jesus Christ not to frighten mankind, but to use these events as reminders to keep mankind in a conscious state of preparedness for His second coming.

The world today is faced with several events serving as pointers to the revelation given by Christ to His disciples, and our timely response in terms of our preparedness will determine if we would make it to the end or not.

In His description of the end time events to His disciples, three powerful weapons can be deduced from His word of Knowledge, and they are;

“Take heed that no one deceives you” ~ MATHEW 24:4 (NKJV).

The end of days will be characterized by deception, and many would be led astray, even the elect. satan and his cohorts will employ stealth and camouflage strategies to achieve their aims and objectives. For many will come in the name of Christ (Mathew 24:5), false prophets will arise and deceive many (Mathew 24:11).

The knowledge of the word of God is key to out smarting the subtility and deceptive nature of satan and his agents. We are admonished to read the word of God, that we may know the truth and be free.

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” ~ JOHN 8:32 (NKJV).

Truth is a defence against deception, and only those who fasten the belt of truth round their waist, will be able to stand their ground (Ephesians 6:14) against satan and his agents.

“…See that you are not troubled…” ~ MATHEW 24:6 (NKJV).

The signs of the end time revealed by Jesus Christ to His disciples, were filled with troubling imagery of wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes and sorrows.

The end time will be characterized by events that will instill fear into people, and the enemy will leverage on it to weaken and oppress people. Fear is one of the greatest tragedies that would ever befall anyone who cares to entertain it.

Jesus Christ told His disciples that every event He spoke about must come to pass, but admonished them not to be troubled (Mathew 24:6).

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). Faith produces perseverance, and perseverance is our ability to endure and adapt to and through any condition because we are not focussed on the events that characterize the challenging times, but determined to see the glory of God and receive our crowns as promised by Jesus Christ (James 1:12).

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come” ~MATHEW 24:14 (NKJV).

In the midst of trials and tribulations, we must be visible enough to be identified with Jesus Christ, and the kingdom business must be all that matters.

The agenda of satan and his agents is to capture as many souls as they can to hell, but through large scale evangelism we must disrupt this agenda by ensuring that no one goes to hell with them. We must utilize every resource and platform at our disposal to ensure that the gospel of Christ is preached to all nations before the the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The time for our glorification is near, hence we must endure to the end, for our crown of glory awaits us.

God bless you.
