(Malachi 2:2) If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
Ingratitude is an act of not being grateful and a show of thanklessness. People with no attitude of gratitude do not know contentment. They are never satisfied with life and what life has offered them. They are always looking for the next best and thus can miss life by looking for a time when things will be better. Do you know that when you get to those times, they may usually not be better? God expects us to give glory to His name always and to thank Him at all times irrespective of the situation. Ingratitude as an attitude should not be exhibited by any child of God as it attracts curses as seen in the Scriptures above.
Every ingrate is a candidate of frustration and bitter heart which invariably dries the bone. Jesus though part of the God Head was always seen giving thanks to God at all times. There was never a time He displayed any act of ingratitude and as such God was always with Him confirming His word. As Christians, we are Christ-like and we should emulate Jesus in all things. Gratitude determines your altitude as it signifies an application for more, while ingratitude pulls you down and may keep destiny helpers away from you.
Our God expects us to exalt and glorify His name at all times irrespective of the condition we find ourselves. Paul and Silas praised God even in prison. Any display of ingratitude pushes God away from the ingrate and the blessings of such an ingrate will become a curse. My dear, look inwards and consciously repents from all forms of ingratitude and prayerfully and consciously develops an act of gratitude.
Meditation: Every ingrate is a candidate of frustration and bitter heart which invariably dries the bone.
